Our Lodge is spacious and of open plan with 2 guest rooms. There is a Formal Lounge and TV room were clients can choose to relax and enjoy pre dinner drinks and nibbles before sitting down to a healthy, wholesome New Zealand country style meal in the dining room.

Views to die for

The lodge also has wireless internet and a library with an extensive range of hunting and fishing books. We also have washing, drying and ironing facilities available. As well as the lodge accommodation, we have 4 newly built chalets, all with private en-suit bath rooms, super king size beds, heat pumps and views to die for. The Trophy/Games room has a bar, pool table, Sky/Cable TV, dvd player and great selection of mounted New Zealand Trophy animals.

Fine dining

During your Safari, the delights of Pam’s healthy wholesome New Zealand country-style cooking await clients. The menu includes New Zealand lamb, grass fed beef, pork, chicken, fish and venison served with fresh vegetables and salads. Deserts such as Death by Chocolate, Lemon Meringue Pie, Butterscotch Pie and the New Zealand renowned Pavalova is sure to tempt your taste buds.

Complimentary beer and wine complete the dinner meal. If special dietary meals are required, be sure to let us know as we can cater for these if requested.

Other activities

Lake Tekapo is situated in the South Island of New Zealand.

A one hour drive to Mount Cook National Park and village, makes this an ideal day trip. There are many walks available for the casual or the more experienced person.

The views around the shores of Pukaki are breath taking while driving the scenic route. Alternatively you can get close to Mount Cook, the glaciers and alpine lakes by taking a scenic flight with Air SafarisTekapo helicopters.

You will be spoilt for choice in the township of Lake Tekapo, where you can visit the new Alpine Springs & Spa where you can enjoy body and beauty treatments, hot pools and sauna. In the same area you can enjoy the outdoor public ice skating rink.

Skiing is seasonal from June to early October. There are three ski fields within easy access from Tekapo – DobsonLake Ohau and Round Hill.

You can enjoy the pleasant surroundings of Lake Tekapo with guided walks and hikes. Or you can go Horse Trekking, fishing, or cycling.

Golf is another popular activity. The Mackenzie Golf Club boasts New Zealand’s highest 18 hole course.

A trip to Mount John Observatory will satisfy the earnest star gazer, where these skies are the clearest, darkest and most spectacular in New Zealand.
