John Daly from Gillette, Wyoming has shot the new SCI world record Himalayan Bull Tahr for Estate hunting.
His New Zealand Bull Tahr scored 48 & 5/8th inches beating the previous world record by 1/2 an inch. This giant bull tahr was 15 & 1/4 inches long and had 9 inch bases.
March 2012 John came to hunt in New Zealand for the first time and was in pursuit of his South Pacific Ring.
He managed to successfully harvest 11 of the 12 animals we hunted for (unfortunately the 12th was a world class Sika we lost in thick bush) Out of the 11 trophies 9 went gold medal and 2 went silver medal along with the new SCI world record Bull Tahr.
John also shot 3 more Top 10 South Pacific SCI trophies #3 Feral ox, #6 White Tail and #9 Water Buffalo. What a hunting achievement, congratulations and well done John Daly.
"Thanks for a great hunt, 11 animals 2 silver and 9 gold SCI - 4 top ten. It would be hard to imagine a better place to hunt for trophies. Thank you. Your place is beautiful and well thought out. Best wishes for continued success. Come to Wyoming and hunt with us".
